Today, August 21, 2017, all of North America will experience a solar eclipse, which is one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights. Ancient Chinese culture perceives solar eclipses as the phenomena of “disastrous event.” They represent a serious disturbance in the natural order of things. People should confess and seek forgiveness from nature or God. In Chinese medicine, the Sun represents Yang energy and the Moon represents Yin energy; when a solar eclipse happens, the Yang energy drops significantly, so you should keep your body’s Yang energy from escaping. To do this, you can wear more clothes or cover yourself, and drink some ginger tea before you go outside. Also the eclipse may cause hormonal and emotional effects. If you experience these problems, you may feel worse before, during, and after the eclipse. Another thing for the sake of your body’s Yin and Yang balance, you should abstain from sex on eclipse day. Be careful of your eyes, and enjoy your day.
