Winter is here, temperatures are much cooler and it is  almost below freezing. According to Traditional  Chinese Medicine winter is the time to tonify your body Qi and blood in order to keep your health. In general making young chicken mushroom soup is a good choice for this purpose in winter. How to make the soup?  One pound mushroom, which ever kind you like most. 10 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of dried goji berries, 5 pieces dried dates, 1 small whole organic chicken, 6 slices of fresh ginger root, 2 tablespoons whiskey, salt to taste, 3 stem of scallion, finely chopped. Before making the soup, chop the chicken in small pieces. Remember to add salt right before serving so as not to dry out the chicken meat, enjoy your soup and the chicken.

Goji berries can promote a healthy flow of Qi through the body.

Dates contribute to the health of the blood.

Ginger helps to expel “dampness” in the body and warm up body middle Yang Qi.

Mushrooms help the immune system.
