Acupuncture is the Real Thing

During my practice, I heard a lot of names which other people has called me behind my back, Fortunately not called by my patients, but by some of their friends and their doctors. They think acupuncture and Chinese medicine are fake, not real, it is not proved by so called science, because there are not enough statistic results to prove the clinic efficiency, but they do not understand that those experiments are not even designed for Chinese medicine study, there are flaws in those study because there are so many factors and variable they did not consider during design the experiments, of course the results will not be significant since they can not understand principal of Chinese Medicine and they also can not see the meridian by dissection then they think it is a fake thing.  Read more

Health note of the day. To prevent your dementia, you need to keep your brain active even after you retired. You need to keep reading, practice simple math, do some hands on work, singing, dancing, keep your social net, alone is not good for your brain activity. Most important is keep yourself happy, set a goal every day.

If you have hypertension also easy feel stress and anxious, or you have PMS during your period, have trouble to sleep at night, you can rub the Tai Chong acupoint twice a day, morning and night, each time at least for 2mins. Tai Chong is located at the dorsum of the foot in a depression distal to the junctions of the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones.

Chinese Medicine and Chinese Calendar

Today is Chinese New Year. I wish every one who read my blog have a prosperous and abundant health Monkey Year. Because Chinese New year is based on the Chinese calendar, it has a different date every year according to the Gregorian calendar. Chinese calendar is a lunisolar calendar which computes years, months and days according to the moon phase and the time of the solar year. It is a very complicate calculated system. In Chinese medicine when we treat or prevent the disease and analysis the organ and meridian function time, we will use the Chinese calendar to determine the time and the season.
